File editing skill

CloudyBot can search, replace, patch, and review changes in text and structured files you keep in the product workspace.

How to enable

1. Upload or create files in the workspace.
2. Enable file-editing skills on the thread or Specialist.

What you can ask

Copy a line below and tune names, channels, or file titles to match your workspace.

• “Find every TODO in this folder and turn them into a checklist file.”
• “In report.md, replace Q2 with Q3 everywhere and update the date in the title.”
• “Apply this patch to config.json—set the timeout to 30.”
• “Show me a diff of the changes you're about to make before saving.”
• “Undo the last edit you made to pricing.md.”

Common pitfalls

• Binary files aren’t edited as text—export to a text format first.
• Large refactors should go in smaller steps.
