Slack skill
CloudyBot can post short updates and digests to Slack when your workspace has Slack credentials saved and a plan that supports the workflow—most teams use a Specialist such as Slack Poster for scheduled posts.
Available on Growth and above when enabled for your workspace. Credentials (bot token or webhook) live in Settings.
How to enable
- Add your Slack app token or webhook in Settings → Credentials (labels match what you see in the product).
- Hire or configure a Specialist whose duties include Slack (for example Slack Poster) and paste the channel names into that playbook.
- Run one manual digest from that Specialist’s thread before you rely on automation.
What you can ask
Copy a line below and tune names, channels, or file titles to match your workspace.
- “Slack Poster: post top 3 industry headlines to #team-eng every weekday at 9.”
- “Slack Poster: every Friday at 4pm, post ‘wins of the week’ to #general using bullets I drop in this thread.”
- “Slack Poster: send ‘Deploy starting in 5 min’ to #releases now.”
- “Slack Poster: draft a #marketing post with this caption and wait for my OK before sending.”
- “When my weekly research task finishes, ask Slack Poster to drop the summary link in #ops.”
Common pitfalls
- Channel names and permissions must match your Slack workspace.
- Long posts may be split or truncated per Slack limits.
